IVA for a Pharmaceutical Company

The Project

A medication from a pharmaceutical company is going out of patent, so they wanted to revise the sales tool (IVA) to change their approach. They wanted to tout the benefits of using the name-brand drug, and give equal weight to the two main studies that had been done for the drug. As always, pharmaceutical sites and applications have strict regulations they must follow, and I had to work within those.

My Tasks

Create interactive wireframes for the customer, showing multiple options for presenting some of the information.

Revised IVA

  • Important Safety Information always visible in the right rail
  • Information presented in three cards—click the blue (+) icon to flip a card and view different information.
  • Hamburger menu at the top allows the salesperson to jump around the presentation.
    • Because this is a sales tool, the salespeople will get familiar with it quickly, so navigation is a secondary concern to the presentation of the information.
    • Dynamic interactions keep the client’s attention.

  • Another variation on a card-based interaction—click the blue (+) icon to flip a card and view different information, and click the blue (–) to flip it back. Flipped cards expand to show more information.
